Armenian brand “Sari-Safran” is an eco-friendly product used both in cooking as a spice and as a medicine. It has been produced since 2017 in the Tavush region. The project was created on the basis of Armenian-Swiss cooperation, firstly to create jobs in the border village and then to make Armenia’s name known on the international market. Armenian saffron, known as “red gold”, is considered the most expensive spice in the world.
